T h e B a l a s a h e b T h a c k e r a y G o r e w a d a International Zoological Park has continued to enhance its wildlife collection and conservation efforts during this quarter through several key
acquisitions and rescues. The zoo received Striped Hyenas and Indian Wolves from Jaipur,
contributing to the diversity of its carnivore collection.

During this quarter, the Balasaheb Thackeray Gorewada International Zoological Park (BTGIZP)
has further strengthened its wildlife collection and conservation initiatives through notable
acquisitions and rescues. As part of animal exchange program with Sayajibaug Zoological
Garden, Vadodara, the zoo received several new species, including Zebra Finch, Comb Duck, Night
Heron, and Rosy-Faced Lovebird. Additionally, the Thane Forest Division conducted a raid to
seize various illegally held animals from a private individual.
